Student(s): Mallory Marks

Project Mentor(s): Blair Madore

Number theory is described as a branch of mathematics that deals with the properties and relationships of numbers. It can play a crucial role in developing young students’ logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This poster will explore not only the college-level view of number theory, but also age-appropriate strategies for integrating number theory into elementary education. By making number theory accessible and enjoyable, teachers can inspire a lifelong appreciation for mathematics while strengthening students’ numerical fluency and critical thinking skills.
