Studies of Some Widely Used Organic Compounds (2020)

Organic compounds are all around us – in nature as well as in synthetic products. In the Organic Chemistry II class, students produce an online PowerPoint presentation describing one such compound, showing its synthesis, applications, biological properties, and more. These projects will be presented to the chemistry department first, and the top three posters from the class will be presented at the Learning & Research Fair 2020 as online videos.

The Students of CHEM 342 are:

Jarisa Escalante and Aliaksandra A Reutovich (Dimethyltryptamine)

Kylee Lashomb and Katelyn Martin (Dopamine)

Michael Amell and Breanna Anderson (Curcumin)
