Invasive species are a growing problem on a global level. One challenge to containing their spread is that most people are unaware which species are invasive ones. We designed and administered an online survey to test for differences in ability to recognize invasive species based on time spent outdoors, activity done during that time, and level of education. We collected fifty-one responses in April 2023. Our results showed that only level of education is a significant predictor of ability to recognize invasive species. We recommend that the study be continued with a larger sample size.
